Peskio privacy notice

Peskio (peskio.com) is operated by Lemur Ventures SL (NIF B56433345), C/ de les Dones Remences, 6, 17150 Sant Gregori (Girona), Spain, [email protected] (“we”). This notice explains what we collect when you use the website or Peskio’s assistant integrations (the ChatGPT plugin and in-browser AI agents), and why.

What we collect

1. Website analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, the features you interact with (recorded as coarse categories — never coordinates or exact dates), the text of site searches (with e-mail addresses and phone numbers removed), device and browser type, referring site, and an approximate location (country/region) that Google derives from your IP address. Google sets cookies (_ga) for this. Google acts as our processor and may process data outside the EEA under its standard contractual clauses / the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
2. Server and network logs. Our hosting provider and Cloudflare record technical request data (IP address, browser user agent, requested page, time) to deliver the site, protect it from abuse and fix faults. These logs are kept for a limited period and are not used for profiling.
3. Approximate location for “nearby” places. To suggest places near you, the site reads the approximate location that Cloudflare derives from your IP address. It is used to build the page and is not stored.
4. Search. Text you type into the search box — and place names an assistant looks up on your behalf — is sent to Algolia, our search provider, to return matching places. For the site’s search box your browser contacts Algolia directly, and those queries also give us aggregate search and click statistics; place names an assistant looks up are sent with Algolia analytics turned off. Algolia processes these queries as our processor and may transfer them outside the EEA under the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
5. Assistant integrations. When an AI assistant uses Peskio on your behalf, we receive the request it sends — place names, dates and options such as “spearfishing” — and, for “near me” requests, an approximate location (city or region level) supplied by the assistant’s own app. We use it only to answer that request; it may be kept in server memory for up to 24 hours to reuse answers and is never written to disk or logs. We log only which tool was used, whether it succeeded, and how long it took. We never receive your conversation, your account details or your precise location. OpenAI (or the provider of the assistant you use) is a separate controller for your conversation and for what its app sends to us; its own privacy policy applies.

What we don’t do

No accounts, no advertising profiles, no sale or rental of personal data.

Legal basis

Our legitimate interest in operating, securing and improving a free information service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of personal data we hold, object to its processing, or complain to the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD, aepd.es) or your local one. Contact [email protected]. Because we do not hold accounts, most data we have cannot be linked to you.
